Hope you get a good response from the dive community on this unique frogfish. You are absolutely right about academia. In general, they have been loathe to accept input from ‘citizen scientists’ yet, as you point out, we spend an incredible amount of time underwater all over the globe.

Wow! Beautiful frogfish. In all my diving around Indonesia I don’t think I’ve ever seen this one. Thanks for sharing! We’ll keep our eyes out for this beauty in the future.

Thanks! No, this is a normal Antennarius species. The one Rachel is looking for wouldn’t be one you see out in the open like this.
