When I was in Ambon, I saw a 12" flounder get nailed and pulled into the sand by an unidentified creature in the sand. Huge bobbit worm, maybe? I was like 2 feet away lined up to shoot macro when the thing exploded into a sandstorm and was pulled under. No photos, unfortunately... but it did make me a little worried every time I rested my hand on the sand. ;) I love predation.

When I was in Ambon, I saw a 12″ flounder get nailed and pulled into the sand by an unidentified creature in the sand. Huge bobbit worm, maybe? I was like 2 feet away lined up to shoot macro when the thing exploded into a sandstorm and was pulled under.

No photos, unfortunately… but it did make me a little worried every time I rested my hand on the sand. ;)
