Being a father of an 18 months old girl, such stories crush my heart. We have many such cases in Bulgaria even though we're talking about much more difficult conditions than the viral meningitis, which could be easily prevented by proper vaccination. The past couple of weekends my wife (http://www.flickr.com/ribkabananka) and a couple of friends made a really cool effort in helping two kids. They posted notices on every major photo-forum that they'll be making children photo sessions with all money going for those two kids. For just three hours in our Central park they collected more than EUR 600. This is nothing compared to the huge hospital bills but at least it's a positive effort. *thumbs up* for the post and your efforts with Captain Craig, Tony.
